Dr Abukari Salifu Atchulo
( Board Member )

Dr Atchulo brings to the board of Cadmus Investments Ltd a wealth of experience from both industry and academia. He’s currently a faculty member of the Department of Accounting and Finance, KNUST School of Business, KNUST, Kumasi. Previously, he had been a faculty member of Central Business School, Central University, and the School of Business and Law, University for Development Studies where he taught courses in accounting and finance, and supervised thesis and dissertations at the postgraduate and undergraduate levels. He also serves as an Adjunct faculty member of the Nobel International Business School (NiBs), facilitating accounting and finance related courses on the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) programmes. Dr Atchulo has previously worked in various roles in the finance department of Barclays Bank Ghana Ltd (now Absa Ghana) for six years. Following this, He also worked for the United Bank for Africa (UBA – Ghana) as the Head of Local Corporates, with responsibility for deal ideation, initiation and execution. He is also the Managing Consultant of Atchulo & Associates Ltd, a Business and Management Consulting firm. 

He is a member of CPA, Australia, and holds a PhD in Accounting from the Open University Business School, Open University, Milton Keynes, UK, and an MSc in Accounting and Finance from the Manchester Business School, University of Manchester, UK. He also holds a BSc in Administration from the School of Administration (now University of Ghana Business School), University of Ghana with First Class Honours. He received the KPMG award for best overall graduating student in BSc Administration as well as the Professor Ben Amoako-Adu award of excellence for best all-round graduating student in his year of graduation. He is also a recipient of the prestigious British Chevening Scholarship as well as the Santander studentship on funding models for electric vehicles. His research interests are in financial markets and institutions, corporate governance, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs), risk management as well as corporate sustainability management. His research work has been presented and well received both locally and internationally.
